Miserable Miles is a fun and challenging 5.5 km obstacle race that takes contestants over a 212 meter vertical ascent through the stunning vistas of Peace River’s Misery Mountain.
The volunteer led event was born out of a passion for a good challenge, a respect and love of the natural beauty of the Peace River valley, and most importantly, to promote and support the communities of the Peace River region.
In September of 2022, the 7th Annual Miserable Miles race attracted 200 challengers from all around the region, and was not only able to raise approximately $11,000 to local not for profit initiatives in the Peace Region.
Miserable Miles is a grassroots event that celebrates community spirit. The sucess of event is made possible through the countless volunteers, local municipal governments and businesses – each who gave their time, direct financial contributions, and in-kind donations tomake a celebration of the beauty of our region a reality.
